Christopher Phelps
Mr. Phelps directs statewide
environmental, energy public health initiatives for Environment Connecticut Research & Policy Center.
Mr. Phelps has co-authored several reports including "Cars and Global Warming" (Spring 2005), and
testified before the state legislature on multiple issues
including vehicle emission standards, identity theft and campaign
finance reform. He has appeared on all the major television affiliates
in Connecticut. He has been featured on local radio including WTIC
1080 and Pacifica.
Prior to joining Environment Connecticut Research & Policy Center in 2007, Mr. Phelps worked for the Connecticut Public Interest Reseach Group (ConnPIRG) and the United Way of the Capitol Area. He has also coordinated state legislative and municipal campaigns and hosted a public affairs cable television program. Mr. Phelps lives in Portland, Connecticut, where he serves on the Board of Education and Municipal Clean Energy Task Force.
