Dear Gov. Jodi Rell, and state Representatives,

Please take the following steps to protect our parks:

• Protect and restore our state parks and forests by reversing the budget shortfalls that have underfunded the parks system by as much as $10 million a year.

• Give our parks and forests the funds necessary to ensure they’re properly staffed, able to maintain their trails and facilities, and remain open to the public year.
